Wood Care – How to use Firesmiths Mineral Oil
- Step 1 – Cleaning
- Step 2 – Oil
- Step 3 – Oil Soak
- Step 4 – Buff / Soak
Use a dry clean or paper towel, polish off any oil so that the board does not feel damp or sticky. Tiny cracks cause bacteria to grow but by using our mineral oil it will seep into the cracks and keep the board sanitary. We do suggest oiling your Firesmiths wood products as often as possible in the beginning. Wood Care – How to apply Firesmiths Beeswax Conditioner
- Step 1 – Apply the wax
Rub the Firesmiths beeswax into the board with a soft, lint free cloth or soft paper towel. Allow to penetrate and harden (20-30min).
- Step 2 – Remove the wax
Once the Firesmiths beeswax has penetrated and hardened into the board simply wax off using a soft cloth or paper towel.
Beeswax conditioner performs a vital function of sealing the pores of the wood. Wood is a still a living organism and it reacts to it’s immediate environment. Beeswax conditioner will seal the Firesmiths Mineral Oil in the wood and the protect the board from cracking or warping as well as bacteria.
Wood Care – How to apply Firesmiths Wood Polish
Firesmiths Wood Polish will help to provide your wooden products with one of the most natural-looking finishes. It will have the wood looking good as new! The Wood Polish is 100% natural, eco friendly and proudly made in South Africa. Good for all wooden household products.
Simply rub the it onto the board with a soft, lint free cloth or soft paper towel. Allow to penetrate and harden (20-30min).
