Our Story
Since the discovery of fire over thousands of years ago, humans forever changed how they cook their food.
From ancient firepits to the modern braai, the taste and social experience of cooking over a flame with friends and family has not changed.
But we did get smarter...and in the process discovered better methods of cooking & braaing our food.
Here at the Firesmiths family we are passionate about smart design and delivering innovative products that make its easier to cook, more fun to use and ultimately to deliver food that drips with flavour and a succulent taste that you simply cannot achieve on a traditional braai.
Our smokers are proudly made right here in South Africa, providing you with the everyday platform to bring family and friends together – whether at home or the bush, celebrating life and making precious memories around the truly unique South African braai.
Our family loves good food, we love to braai, we love the magic of fire and we wanted to share that passion by engaging, sharing and enjoying the braai-life with you!

Our mission
Our mission is to provide South Africans with a transformative alternative to the way you typically braai, by introducing a range of unique vertical smokers.
This will enable you to experience an unique cooking method that centres around smoking and hanged cooking of you favourite food.
This cooking philosophy and method is based on the famous US vertical barrel smoking principle of low & slow cooking.
